“Rest right. So you can rise right”.
Release. Remember. Rise.
Our Approach
ResYes is a wellness and human development ecosystem rooted in yoga science and cultural wisdom. We cultivate sustainable resilience through rest, embodiment, self-discovery, and intentional living—centering Black voices and perspectives while welcoming all who are aligned and called to grow, heal, and thrive in community
It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing different.
Rest is not the opposite of output. It is the root of it.
We are not here to tell you to slow down and stop. We are here to help you reconnect with the rest, support, and inner resources that are already yours—so you can move through life more regulated, resourced, and fully alive in your body.
Rest → Regulated Nervous System → Right Energy → Aligned Output → Sustainable Living

Client Reviews
“Jahdea has such a beautiful perspective and approach to yoga. Listening to her speak and teach reminds me how healing and necessary this practice is. I've practiced yoga for 8+ years and to this day her class was one of the most gentle peaceful classes I've taken. I'm so happy to see her sharing her gift on a larger scale!
Amani“I had the honor of training with Jahdea and watching her teach was so inspiring. She has a natural gift — grounded, knowledgeable, and full of heart. Her students are lucky to learn from her!”
Caroline“I became a member of True North Yoga and Jahdea became one of our instructors there. She was teaching a Vin Yin class and I was so impressed!! It was literally one of the best classes that I had taken in Yoga!! She takes her time with you, shows you the correct way to do your stretches, has fantastic calming music and is extremely graceful in her approach to Yoga. I highly recommend....”

The Soul of ResYes
Rooted in wise womanness. Built for a life you don't need to recover from.
ResYes was born from a simple truth: your nervous system was never meant to carry what this world has placed on it. The chronic tension, the burnout, the disconnection from your own body — these aren't personal failures. They're what happens inside systems that were never built with your wholeness in mind. Our work draws from ancestral wisdom, somatic practice, and lived experience — some of it older than the wellness industry now trying to sell it back to us.
"We don't force here. We flow."
Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Jahdea
Afro-Jamaican yoga instructor, community health advocate, intentional rest guide, international retreat facilitator and public speaker.
As a multifaceted woman, intuitive and intellectual, whose work lives at the intersection of embodiment, identity, community, and purpose. My personal and professional experiences have been shaped by migration, mental health, burnout, belonging, major life transitions, and the ongoing journey of finding home within myself.
I founded ResYes because too many ambitious women—including me—have built full lives on empty nervous systems. Through movement, reflection, meaningful conversation, and intentional community, I create spaces that invite us to release, rest, reconnect, and explore what it means to live with greater clarity, self-trust, and purpose.
ResYes is a space to return to yourself—mind, body, and spirit.
